Multiple Profile Support Comes To Google Chrome
The latest Google Chrome beta supports multiple sign ins, allowing users to have their own apps, bookmarks, and settings in the browser. This is great for people who do not want to create multiple OS profiles, or for people with separate accounts for business and personal use.
Once you’ve installed the Chrome beta, you can set up multiple profiles in the options menu, under Personal Suff, by clicking “Add New User.” This automatically generates a nickname and an avatar for the user, both of which can be modified. Users can also sign into their Google accounts from the options menu to fetch Chrome settings from the cloud.

Firefox 5 Update To Fix Mac OS X Crash Bug
Firefox 5.0.1 will arrive shortly going by an announcement made by Mozilla. No release date was given, however. The update isn’t for Windows or Linux operating systems either, just for Mac OS X. This is because Lion i.e. Mac OS X 10.7 possesses a bug that makes Firefox 5 crash when showing websites that utilize downloadable fonts.
We alerted Apple to the problem before the release of 10.7 but they did not fix the problem before 10.7 went to final release. We’ve changed the font APIs that we’re using to newer versions which appear to fix the problem. The bug in Lion will cause severe crash problems for Firefox 5 users if it’s not fixed. - Christopher Blizzard, Mozilla’s Web platform director
Channel Switcher Dropped From Firefox
Going by what Mozilla has to say, the channel switcher will be removed from Firefox. Why? While the channel switcher seemed like a good idea at first, it was only really useful as a springboard it appears. This conclusion came to light due to the fact that the feature was rarely utilized once users made the switch to a particular channel.
As it turns out, users of Firefox are much more interested in running different versions of the browser alongside each other, and so Mozilla has declared that its efforts are best directed elsewhere. You will still be able to switch back and forth between the Aurora and Beta channels, of course. Simply visit the Future of Firefox page to obtain them.
RockMelt Beta 2 Out Now
RockMelt Beta 2 is now out, offering a new chat experience, the View Later feature, a new Twitter app, and Chromium 10 updates.
As it was the most requested feature, the chat bar has been completely redone, with chats now being placed in the chat bar at the bottom so as to remain visible while browsing. Notifications for incoming messages are now more subtle to boot, and chats can be turned into separate windows by dragging them off of the chat bar.

Taking a Look at the New Google Chrome 10 Beta
Google released the newest Google Chrome 10 build to the beta channel yesterday, boasting progress in the form of revamped browser settings, password sync features, as well as JavaScript performance.
V8, Chrome’s JavaScript engine, now runs intense JavaScript applications faster than in the past. To be more specific, the V8 benchmark suite indicated an improvement over the current stable release of 66%. See the chart below to see how it compares with prior versions of Chrome.

Firefox 3.1 Delayed (Again)
Mozilla has delayed Firefox 3.1 Beta 3 release again, stating new JavaScript engine bugs as the main reason.
There are still 18 bugs which need to be fixed before new beta.
New release date should be revealed within few days.

Opera Mobile 9.5 Beta Released
After a short delay, the 1st and long awaited Beta of Opera Mobile 9.5 was just released. So far, this release works with Windows Mobile only and Symbian support will be added in the upcoming (or final) build(s).
