Opera: How to Prevent Flash from LoadingDo you want to load Flash videos (or other plugins) only after you mouse click on them? Here is how, go to:

Preferences > Advanced > Content and check “Enable plug-ins only on demand”.

P.S. This method will only work in Opera 11 Alpha and above.

See opera:config for alternatives.

This is Operas equivillant of FlashBlock.

It’s also not new, it’s been around in the Opera:config settings for a while, it’s just now exposed as a UI preference.

…and before embedded FlashBlock, there was UserJS for a long time, with the same feature. :)

    “Preferences > Advanced > Plugins”
Did you mean: “Preferences > Advanced > Content”

“P.S. This will only work in Opera 11 Alpha and above.”
Actually it was working before, but to enable it you had to use opera:config

This ‘feature’ was already present since version 9 (or earlier), just that they finally decided to move it from the opera:config page to somewhere more visible.
