Chrome 3.0.195.24 Released
Google has released a new stable build of it’s Chrome web browser. The following version patches high risk security vulnerability, which was discovered by Maksymilian Arciemowicz of SecurityReason.

CVE-2009-0689 dtoa() error parsing long floating point numbers
The v8 engine uses a common dtoa() implementation to parse strings into floating point numbers. We have applied a patch to fix a recent bug in this component.

September, 2009 – Firefox, Chrome, Safari and Opera Market Share Goes Up; IE – Down
New month and we are back to Net Applications data, so let’s begin.
Not so surprisingly, Internet Explorer continues to lose its market share and fell from 66.97% to 65.71%.

Google Chrome OS Devices to Debut in Mid-October
Several sources suggest that the very first, much anticipated devices, powered by Google Chrome OS will debut in mid-October.
One of the first might be Chinese-designed Loongson CPU with OS already pre-installed.

Firefox 3.6 Receives Light Themes (aka Personas)
It seems that the upcoming Firefox 3.6 release will have an option for light themes, or as Mozilla calls them: Personas.
Unlike regular themes, Personas will only change few elements of web browser look, such as: backgrounds, menu colors, etc.
Furthermore, users will be able to create their own light themes following simple guide at GetPersonas.com.
