Please bring Opera Mobile with Opera Turbo to Windows Phone 7. Seriously, the only reason why I (and probably few other people) haven’t switched to WP7 is because of the lack of web page compression in IE9.

As promised, Opera Software has released quite a few new versions of Opera Mini and Opera Mobile web browsers that include an enhanced user interface, session restore support and more.

Now here is something exciting for all Opera users. According to the recent press release, Opera Software will be releasing Opera Mini 6 and Opera Mobile 11 web browsers sometime next week!
Opera Mini is set for Android, BlackBerry, Symbian/Series 60 and J2ME devices while Opera Mobile 11 supports Android, Symbian, Windows 7 and eGo platforms.

Good news, this week Opera Software has finished and released the Final version of Opera Mobile 10.1 for Symbian/S60 devices.
The following version brings a lot of goodies to the table, including: new JavaScript engine, VEGA graphics library, better HTML5 support, Geolocation and more.

Furthermore, company has also announced the availability of Opera Mini 5.1 Beta 2 for Series 60 platform, offering lots if improvements and bug fixes.

Today was a big day for Opera Software, as company held its Up North Web event.
Following Opera Mobile for Android and Opera Extensions announcements, here are some interesting stats:
– 71 million people use Opera Mini today
– 50 million people have installed Opera’s cross-platform desktop browser on their computers
– 20 million users around the world use Opera products on connected devices other than phones and computers, e.g. television sets.
– 140 million users total
– Opera welcomes 2 new users every second!
