New Opera Mini For Android Is Here
Windows Phone version should be coming soon.
Some time ago, Norwegian browser maker has launched a new version of Opera Mini for iOS and now it looks like the very same technology has made it into the Android release as well.
What are we talking about? The ability to chose whether you want more data savings (extreme mode) or better sites compatibility (high data savings mode).

Opera Mini Disappears From The Windows Phone Store
Yes, again.
We are not exactly sure what is going on with either Microsoft or Opera but it looks like Opera Mini has disappeared again from the Windows Phone store, for a third time this year.
The good news? Opera Software is aware of the issue and are working with Microsoft to fix it.
Personally, we’d love to know exactly why this keeps happening.
Opera Mini Beta And Surfy Browser Updated
Good news for anyone rocking one of the Windows Phones as two highly popular web browsers have just received updates!
While Opera Mini Beta changelog is less than impressive (just bug fixes and minor improvements), Surfy Browser tells a different story. In fact, the latest build got a complete user interface overhaul with:

Opera Mini Introduces The Night Reading Mode
While both OS and phone hardware providers do their best to reduce the eye strain when it comes to unavoidable night reading, not all of them succeed. And as you might know, eye strain is really one of the more uncomfortable things one can experience, especially when you use eyes for pretty much everything.
Well, it looks like at least Opera Mini users will get a pleasant surprise as today’s update includes a night reading mode, which works like this: instead of just reducing the overall screen brightness (which you can adjust via Opera Mini), user may also check the “reduce eye strain” box, which will change your screen light tone from blueish to a warm orange, which is said to be better for your eyes.
In addition to that, Opera Mini will now also sync your opened tabs and speed dial data so a pretty awesome update, if you ask us, which you should grab right now!

Opera Mini For Windows Phone Updated
Appears to be incompatible with a lot of modern web pages.
From what sounds like an awesome update to all the Windows Phone users out there, it turned out to be quite a disappointment, at least for some of us.
Despite awesome new inclusions like fresh user interface (which is awesome), improved downloads manager, combined address & search bar and so on, there appears to be one thing that will drive you nuts: Opera’s inability to work with today’s modern (JavaScript heavy) pages.

According to Opera, it was redesigned from the ground up to alligh with Microsot‘s Metro UI, in addition to that, it is said to be fast and fluid, unlike the Beta version of Opera Mini, which is just awful.

Opera To Reveal New Opera Mini Tomorrow
If you’ve been using Opera Mini on Windows Mobile and now have downloaded the “latest” build on Windows Phone, then there shouldn’t be UI learning experience as it’s exactly the same as it has been five years ago.
Well, things could take a turn for the better as Opera will unveil two new builds for both Android and Windows Phone that are set to look more native to the OS itself.

Opera Mini Republished In The Windows Phone Store
Yesterday, we have reported that Opera Mini (Beta) has been unpublished from the Windows Phone store with no official comment from either Opera Software or Microsoft.
Later that day the former issued the tweet, stating that the app was accidentally removed due to some sort of bug in the store itself.
Now, it looks like Opera Mini is back in the Beta form so in case you were unable to download it yesterday, feel free to grab it now.
