Google And Opera Renews The Search Agreement
It looks like Google is not prepared to repeat the mistake they made by not extending the deal with Mozilla to (again) become their default search provider. In a recently announced move, Opera Software and search giant have come to an agreement and will be extending their partnership where Google continue to be Opera’s default search engine on both desktop and mobile platforms.
Last time companies have signed a deal back in 2012 with the current agreement set to expire within 2.5 years (at the end of 2017).

JavaScript Benchmarks: Microsoft Edge Vs. Firefox 40 Alpha Vs. Google Chrome 44 vs. IE11
If you need further proof that Microsoft did indeed took some drastic steps cutting down all the Internet Explorer fat and legacy code that came with it, check the latest Jet Stream (owned by Apple) and Octane 2.0 (owned by Google) benchmarking suite results.
As seen in the chart below, Microsoft Edge is significantly faster absorbing JavaScript than its predecessor, Internet Explorer 11, as well as faster than both Firefox 40 and Google Chrome 44 and that says a lot.

Mobile Google Chrome Surpasses The 30% Market Share Mark
Just recently, we have revealed that Google Chrome has crossed the 25% market share mark on the desktop and now it looks like the search giant has even more things to celebrate. As it turns out, over the course of last month, Google Chrome on mobile has too reached a new milestone and surpassed the 30% mark, up by 2.28 points, from 27.78% to 30.06% and is as close to overtaking Safari as ever.

Google Extends Windows XP Support For Chrome
It just refuses to die.
After revealing the initiative to get rid of the 90s plugins and save the web, it looks like Google just took a step backwards on another front.
Previously, the search giant has announced that they will stop supporting Windows XP on April, 2015; however, that’s no longer a case.
Instead, they have backtracked and will now continue providing updates throughout 2015. Either that or another exception will be made.
