Mozilla Launches BrowserQuest MMO

By | March 30, 2012

A HTML5 based game.

Just to show us, how powerful the new web standards can be and what they hold for the future, Mozilla has teamed up with the Little Workshop studios to develop a HTML5 adventure game, which as you might have guessed, runs in your web browser.

By rendering HTML5 Canvas, a team of programmers and designers have created a beautiful 2D word, which is livened up by the HTM5 audio API and other goodies. Thanks to web standards, it runs on a variety of different web browsers, including Firefox and Google Chrome.

Who knows, maybe someday you will see games like Runescape using the same web technologies.
