June, 2015 Desktop Market Share: Google Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Opera – Up, Internet Explorer – Down

By | July 7, 2015

It’s getting hot out there but the web browser news must go on, and today we look at the latest market share data from the NetApplications.

Starting with the one and only, Internet Explorer, we don’t see anything new, just continuous market share decrease, now down by 1.15 point, from 55.15% to 54.00%

Next is Google Chrome, which now has exactly 2 times less market share than Internet Explorer and 2x more than Firefox. Not a bad place to be in, and as far as numbers go, Google’s web browser increased its user base once again, up from 26.37% to 27.23 (0.86 point increase).

To everyone’s surprise, Firefox has managed to bump its market share by 0.18 point, bringing it back to levels not seen since last year, up from 11.88% to 12.06%. Next stop is 15%!

Safarion the other hand is still at around the 5% mark, and it has been stuck there for more than a year now, up by 0.06 point this time, from 4.93% to 4.99%.

Lastly, Opera, which (for the fourth month in a row) keeps increasing its market share numbers, up by 0.08 point this time, from 1.23% to 1/31%.

That’s all for now, folks.
