January, 2014 Mobile Market Share: Safari, Google Chrome, Opera Mini, Internet Explorer – Up; Android Browser – Down

It’s time to kick things of with the very first market share report for the year 2014.

Starting with Safari, Apple’s web browser has managed to increase its market share by 0.14 point, from 54.82% to 54.96%.

Next is Android web browser, which lost a pretty significant amount of market share, down from 23.48% to 25.43% (1.95 point decrease).

Chrome on the other hand has finally breached the 10% mark, up from 9.70% to 10.88% (1.18 point increase).

Opera Mini starts 2014 by breaking the downtrend, up from 4.15% to 4.52% (0.37 point increase).

Lastly, Internet Explorer, which increased its market share by 0.05 point, from 1.58% to 1.63%.
