HTML5: Play Cut the Rope Game Via Web Browser

Back in 2011, Google has launched a HTML5 based Angry Birds game, which could be played for free with a WebGL compatible web browser.

Now, Microsoft has decided to follow Google’s lead and promote Internet Explorer in a similar fashion. As a result, “Cut the Rope”, a highly popular game on various mobile devices has been ported to HTML5.

If you are not familiar with this game, it’s really pretty straight forward, all you have to do is cut the rope and hope to catch all the yellow starts during the outcome.

With a total of 25 levels, it sure looks like a nice game to burn some of your precious time.

Play Cut The Rope.

I don’t think Angry Birds can be played only with WebGL-compatible browser. I’ve played it in IE9 without any problems.

Nice little game & surprisingly plays great in Opera11.61 & Chrome but fails to load in Firefox Nightly 12.
Is Microsoft getting soft in its old age, normal practice would be to release a game that only played properly in IE.

Nope. Looks like Microsoft has finally improved. I can even use most of the demoes in IE Testdrive website good in Opera 11.60. Looks like Microsoft thinks Internet Explorer 9 is enough to beat it’s competitors and will beat them even if Microsoft doesn’t cheat.

Doesnt work too good on the Iphone.

I changes the mode to click to cut (as the swipe didnt work)

music cuts off and it is a bit laggy. Maybe you got the HD version running
