February, 2010 – Google Chrome, Opera Mini Share Goes Up; Firefox, Safari, Opera – Down

Time to check February browser market share results.
Internet Explorer continues its downfall saga; as market share fell from 62.12% to 61.58% (0.54 points decrease).
For a fourth month in a row, Firefox is losing its market share as well. This time it has decreased by 0.2 points, moving down from 24.43% to 24.23%.
Another month, another gain for Chrome. In February, this browser market share increased by 0.39 points, as it went up from 5.22% to 5.61%.
After continuous gains, Safari has lost 0.08 point market share this time, down from 4.53% to 4.45%.
Opera has also lost a little chunk of its market share, moving down from 2.38% to 2.35% (0.03 point decrease).
Opera Mini continues its healthy grow, going up from 0.59% to 0.64% (0.05 point increase).

Due to Ballot Screen launch, next month results shall be very interesting.








My only question is: why it is “time to check February browser market share results” on March 15th? This is already old news for half a month!
Wait 2 more weeks when the stats are updated again, and it will be time to check March browser market share results.

You should take a look ar http://gs.statcounter.com and choose “Europe”, so apply the filter per day, then choose to see the last 30 days.
The browser ballot screen seems to be working.. :)
