Facebook Chat to Stop Supporting IE6According to Facebook blog post, company will be dropping Internet Explorer 6 support for its chat application on September 15th, 2010.

Rodrigo Schmidt explains that the older web browsers, such as 9 year old Internet Explorer 6, do not support various features that are essential for Facebook Chat improvements.

What about the rest of web site? No information yet, one step at a time.

    It’s good to see big players such as Google and Facebook taking action against IE6 and the people that dare to still use it. I hope more follow.

    Good see this happening. IE6 was a good browser, but not for today.  Only Facebook , Youtube, kinda companies can do force people to update.
    Now we have more good browsers.

    Good for Facebook, taking the initiative;
    If you have to use Internet Explorer, at least use the latest version
