Although the final version of Firefox 4 web browser is yet to be announced, it’s already available on the official Mozilla servers and can be downloaded here.

Firefox 4 marks the end of slow release cycles as both, Firefox 5 and 6 are set for this year’s launch.

    A quick question, if you know the answer: I had issues with a couple of plugins with RC of FF4. So, can FF4 and FF3.x co-exist on the same machine?

      Yes. They can. Check the knowledge base about profiles because you probably want to have different profiles for each version, to avoid issues with basically downgrading and upgrading your profile as you switch from one to another.

      In any case, if you’re having problems with a plugin (plugin != extension, remember well), I suggest you either disable it or ask the develop to update it. The most used plugins are well compatible with Firefox 4, so make sure their up to date. I’m talking about Flash, Silverlight, even Java and whatnot.

    Thanks for your detailed reply. I do think the developer of the plugin will update the plugin. I just can’t wait for it and don’t want to miss those plugins until they are updated. ;-)

    Except that pointing to a link to the FTP seed servers is NOT the official Mozilla servers.

    The official servers are the webservers, and when http://getfirefox.com shows FF4 is available for download, that’s when it’s officially available.

    If a Addon is not working in 4.0 look in the reviews of the plugin and you might find a link to a 4.0 version or another addon that does the same thing.

    Opera UI is even more perfect than the Firefox 4. Seems like they want to copy but they want to look alike.

    i find it sad that IE9 is faster than Firefox 4 in fact im crying right now as im typing ..

      Who cares if IE9 is faster than Firefox 4, it still doesn’t make it better.

    Firefox 4 is not good.It performs worse.Google chrome is fastest browser and Opera is 2nd fastest.See the benchmark among FF4,IE9,chrome and opera
