Adblock Plus Coming to Google ChromeIt looks like Adblock Plus is coming to Google Chrome after all.

According to TechCrunch, Michael Gundlach, the author of Adblock Plus is already working on such extension.

While no release details were given, expect it sooner than later as ADP will not be written from scratch.

Developer will take AdThwart extension source code (which already uses several pieces of Adblock Plus code) and continue the progress.

Hum, looks like Chrome might just begin to be a proper browser after all. Now, if only they supported RSS/Atom by default, if they took off Flash and PDF crap by default, and if they started supporting standards that really matter and not just flash HTML5 that nobody cares about yet…

      Google Reader, baby!

And don’t you prefer properly sandboxed and secure Flash and PDF support?

      • Tiago Sá says:

I prefer no Flash at all and I read PDF on a local pdf reader, because I simply hate plugins, because I can’t tweak them.

It also means Opera will be getting it to, as Chrome and Opera extensions are very similar indeed, and usually trivial to port.
