It’s about time. Looks like Opera Mobile 9.5 development takes a while. As it states in the blog post, there were more than just 1 release today:

Opera Mobile for Symbian UIQ v9.5 beta (w/widget support)
An updated Opera Widgets SDK
A developer version of Opera Widgets for Symbian Series60 (only available in the Widget SDK)

How to Increase the Maximum Number of Tabs on Opera Mobile 9.5Haavard yet again posted a great tip. This one tells you how you can change the maximum opened tabs limit in Opera Mobile 9.5. As he writes:

To increase the number of allowed tabs, go to opera:config, and set “Maximum Allowed Tabs” to the number of your choice (you may have to restart Opera).

That’s it.

Opera Mobile 9.5 BetaAfter a short delay, the 1st and long awaited Beta of Opera Mobile 9.5 was just released. So far, this release works with Windows Mobile only and Symbian support will be added in the upcoming (or final) build(s).

Opera Mobile 9.5 Browser on HTC Touch Diamond

Oslo, Norway – May 6, 2008 – Opera Software today announced that HTC will be shipping a new mobile handset – HTC Touch Diamond – with Opera Mobile 9.5 browser pre-installed.
The HTC Touch Diamond handsets run the Windows Mobile operating system.
With the Opera Mobile browser, the HTC Touch Diamond will offer a rich online experience with access to the full Web.The handsets are expected to ship in 2Q 2008.
Opera Software is paid per unit sold in accordance with the software licensing agreement between Opera and HTC.

    Google, OperaGoogle was and still is a default search engine in Opera web browser for about 7 years. Today Opera Software announced that since March 1, 2008, Google will be set as a default search engine in their mobile products as well, Opera Mini and Opera Mobile.
