Download Maxthon 1.0 Beta For Mac OS X
Good news for all the Mac OS X users out there, Maxthon, one of the most popular web browsers in China, is now available for both Microsoft’s and Apple’s operating systems.
Although we couldn’t find a list of Maxthon 1.0 features, judging by the screenshot below, it should bring most if not all the goodies from the Maxthon 3.0.

Opera 11.51 Is Out!
Going by what the Choose Opera blog has to say, Opera’s Desktop Team has been rather busy these past few days. The reason? Well, while working on Opera 12.00, they also managed to release Opera 11.51 which brings along security and stability updates.
There are also some minor tweaks and fixes for all platforms. The latest Opera version also supports the Full Screen application mode introduced in Mac OS X Lion.

RockMelt Updates To 0.9.62.313
The latest version of RockMelt is out and it includes a number of improvements to performance and stability. The newest Chromium enhancements have been added as well as over 130 issues have been fixed, allowing for what the company promises to be a better browsing experience. No new features have been added otherwise, so it’s a particular minor update.
Mac OS X 10.7 Lion also got some love, with RockMelt now running a lot more smoothly on the newly released operating system. The RockMelt experience on Lion is said to become even better in the near future, however. What this promise entails is better support for full screen mode, gesture based navigation, and hiding scrollbars until sites are scrolled.

Mac OS X Lion Copies Chrome OS Browser Mode
The upcoming Mac OS X release from Apple is set to have a browser only mode, similar to one found in Chrome OS.
According to MacRumors, Lion lock screen includes an option to “Restart to Safari”, which basically just boots an operating system with the web browser only.
Furthermore, thanks to the new auto save feature, users can continue where they left after OS is switched back to the default mode.
Mac OS X Lion is set for July release and should be available in the Mac App Store for $29.99.
Internet Explorer on Mac

Good news everyone, soon, you will be able to use Internet Explorer 6 on your Mac OS X!
On a more serious note, ie4mac is a soon to be released application that allows you to use IE6, IE7, IE8 and even IE9 web browser on your Mac.
According to the authors, you are invited to join the private beta test. All you have to do is enter your email in the following page.
Google Chrome Beta for Mac, Finally Available
After promising to release Chrome for Mac by the end of this year, Google has finally delivered it.
Although it still lacks some of the Windows features, such as: bookmark synch, full extensions support, bookmark manager and multi-touch support, it’s still worth a try. Especially, if all you want is speed.

“Stable” Google Chrome for Mac OS X Released
Today Google has released yet another build of its Chrome web browser for Mac OS X. While final version should be ready by the end of this year, Gizmodo reports, that this release is quite solid and worth a try.
Google itself describes those releases as lacking certain privacy features and not appropriate for general consumer use.

Firefox 3.7 and 4.0 Mac Theme Changes

Chrome Aims for 10% Market Share, Mac Release by the End of 2009
Just a year ago, Google had released the very first build of Chrome web browser which already has ~3.5% market share worldwide.
During the Chrome 3 stable release for PCs, Google Product Management VP Sundar Pichai has confirmed that the Mac version of Chrome should be ready by the end of this year.
Also, Google Chrome Engineering Director Linus Upson said:
“If at the two-year birthday we’re not at least 5 percent (market share), I will be exceptionally disappointed. And if at the three year birthday we’re not at 10 percent, I will be exceptionally disappointed,”

Google Releases Chrome for Mac OS X and Linux
Months after development, Google has finally released the very first builds of Chrome for both, Linux and Mac OS X. As it’s available in dev channel, product managers have warned users not to download any of those builds, unless you are a developer or just like to use incomplete and crashing software.
