Chris Beard Is The New Mozilla CEO
Another month, another CEO.
It seems like Mozilla has been replacing CEOs more often than some people replace their socks and today the open source organization has announced “the chosen one”: Chris Beard.
Who is he? Mr. Chris Beard first joined Mozilla back in 2004 so he does know a thing or two about the company. Earlier this year he re-joined the company as the member of the Board of Directors and the interim CEO.

Download Firefox 32 Beta For Android
Another good day for Android users.
If Chrome is not exactly your cup of tea then rejoice, as here comes a new version of Firefox for Android and this is what’s new:
You can now customize your home screen pages, re-order them, chose the default ones, hide them and so on. Additionally, a browser will no longer have to be restarted when switching between different languages although it’s not like people do that very often anyway. For developers, there is a new set of APIs and you can learn more about them here.

Starting with Internet Explorer, it looks like Microsoft’s web browser has finally regained what it has lost last year, up from 58.17% to 58.38 (0.21 point increase).

Mozilla Developing A Streaming Stick
Chasing another market.
Back in January, Mozilla has announced a partnership with Panasonic to bring Firefox OS into the living room. Now, according to the recent report by Gigaom, the open source organization is developing a streaming stick to compete with Google’s Chromecast, and yes it runs Firefox OS.

As always, we start with the market leader: Safari, this time its market share has decreased by 3.05 points, from 51.77% to 48.72%.
Next is Android Browser, which too experienced a drop in the numbers, from 22.56% to 21.87% (0.69 point decrease).

Recently, Mozilla has announced a new Firefox OS device which is company’s first attempt at a “reference design” phone. Aimed at developers and contributors, the goal was to create a mid-tier phone with the lowest price possible.
