March, 2009 – Internet Explorer, Opera Loses; Firefox, Safari, Chrome Gains
Despite Internet Explorer 8 launch, IE continues to lose its market share and this time fell by 0.62, from 67.44% to 66.82%.
Firefox market share trend is quite clear: up, from 21.77% to 22.05% (0.28 increase).

Chromium Linux – It’s Really Fast
A pre-alpha, Linux web browser called Chromium (which Google Chrome is based on) in the recent SunSpider benchmark revealed that it’s actually 4x faster than the latest stable Firefox release.

New Google Chrome Beta – 25-35% Faster
Here is some great news from Google Chrome team. The latest Chrome beta release was just released and it’s 25% faster on V8 benchmark and 35% faster on SunSpider.
Of course, it also includes some of the new features, for example: form autofill, full page zoom, autoscroll and drag tabs (see video and benchmark results below).

“The study ARIA (Accessible Rich Internet Applications) roles exposed via MSAA (Microsoft Active Accessibility) by browsers on Windows (see results here) provides test of the major browsers available for windows.
Summary
WAI-ARIA has 59 possible role values (excluding abstract roles):
IE 8RC1 exposes 42 role values via MSAA
Firefox (Minefield) 3.2a1pre exposes 49 role values via MSAA
Opera 10 Alpha exposes 21 role values via MSAA
Safari 4 Beta exposes 8 role values via MSAA
Chrome exposes 0 role values via MSAA”
