Some time ago I’ve reviewed the upcoming addons.mozilla.org web design and right after that, decided to write a few thoughts regarding Firefox home page itself. Although I already did that about a half year ago, they’ve added a picture, which doesn’t make any sense at all.
I’m talking about dark blue woman figure in the right side of web page. Let’s take a look at the following picture:
Google was and still is a default search engine in Opera web browser for about 7 years. Today Opera Software announced that since March 1, 2008, Google will be set as a default search engine in their mobile products as well, Opera Mini and Opera Mobile.
Before Google and Opera mobile search partnership, default search engine was set to Yahoo! Search and some time ago Google was removed at all. Continue Reading
David Storey from Opera team recently blogged about something called “Opera Dragonfly”. While no one knows what it is, Opera team keeps teasing everyone (like they always do). Here’s a quote from David Storey blog post:
So what exactly is Opera Dragonfly? I won’t say quite yet, but I do think that, in my opinion, it is the most important project we have on going at the moment, and probably since I’ve been at the company. It won’t directly affect everybody, but will hopefully become invaluable for those that it does. We’ll likely have more to say about it at SxSW in Austin Texas.
Web browsers developers are trying to make files download process as good as possible. When Internet Explorer was launched, files download process was not so user friendly, lots of corrupted files and unstable download speed (actually, IE team haven’t changed anything yet). More and more people downloaded additional programs for faster and better files download experience. Since then, other web browsers developers learned from Internet Explorer mistakes and started to add additional features into web browsers integrated download managers.
