Mozilla to Add Weave Sync for the Next Firefox Release

By | June 2, 2010

Mozilla Adds Weave Sync to Next Firefox ReleaseIt appears that Mozilla has decided to integrate data synch feature into the upcoming major Firefox release.

Originally, Weave was a Firefox add-on, designed to synchronize your bookmarks. However, over the past few years, it has evolved significantly and is no longer “just a bookmarks sync”.

Furthermore, it was renamed to Firefox Sync.

“Wow, Firefox added a incredible never seen before feature!” – Firefox user.

This is just for Firefox 4, not the next release (3.6.4).

It’s an awesome feature, and will provide unparalleled synchronization, because it will sync your Firefox Mobile, your normal Firefox and your Firefox Home in iPhone. Awesome…

But Firefox 4 is full of awesome. There’s the new session manager (manage different Firefox profiles more easily), there’s the account manager (an innovative web site account manager), there’s the home tab, app tabs, in-content UI, TabCandy… And much more. Of course some may not make it into Firefox 4 (namely the account manager and TabCandy), but it’s so promising :D

I don’t think anyone can really keep up with Mozilla in terms of innovation. Mozilla Labs is just an unbelievable place to find new ideas and all this. It’s awesome.
