Mobile Web Browsers Compatibility Test

Written by Vygantas Lipskas on April 16, 2008

Mobile Web Browsers CompatibilityJust after Safari and Opera scored 100 in the Acid3 test, W3.org released its own. However, this is not the Acid, although it’s similar to it and tests 12 web technologies. This one will test mobile web browsers… Is this yet another race beginning?

W3.org tried to run it on Blazer 4.3.2.1, Opera Mini 4.1 Beta 1, PSP’s Netfront, Firefox 3 Beta 3, Internet Explorer 6 and “Android emulator webkit-based browser”.

The results? Check them here.

  1. nobody says:

it seems that firefox 3 beta 3 is as close to completing this test as opera mini 4 beta 1 is.. this is really going to be a big blow for Opera when mozilla release ff3 to the mobiles. it for sure is going to be 100% free, thus clearly beating opera not-entirely-free business model.

btw. newest opera 9903 build pases this test in 100%, this is quite an achievement.
