Maxthon 3.1.6.1000 Is Out!

Maxthon 3.1.6.1000 Is Out!The newest version of Maxthon has been released! The latest version available via the auto updater is 3.1.5.1000, however.  Find below some of the new features and improvements that come with this update:

  • Supported adding favorites sites by double-clicking site icons.
  • Auxiliary Info in Status Bar.
  • Translator names displayed in browser language selection panel.
  • AdHunter Syncing.
  • Optimized the performance of opening new tabs in the background.
  • Optimized the user experience of browsing mode switching.
  • Optimized the performance of adding multiple tabs to Favorites.
  • Enhanced the startup speed.

I still don’t see an option that allows you to get rid of the status bar. That makes me sad. :(

    Mozilla such a long changelog would use for 4-5 new versions..

    Tried it out obviously very influenced by Opera I’d rate it way below the main browsers.
    Highlights mouse gestures work fine , speed dial you can choose which sites to have (any Speed dial that cannot do this is useless) ,browsing speed is fine & seems to switch between webkit & trident as needed.
    Low points the One note feature is truly appalling, big clunky tool bars that have too many buttons, Side panel very basic , hardly any options for customizing ………..

    I know how to get rid of the status bar lol you need to download a skin that people make from their forum

    Heres 2 that are netbook skins that are good for me that i like that and  has the option to hide the status bar/avatar . Make sure your registered of course ;)

    Thanks Favbrowser for this article. I love the great mouse gestures and super drag n drop. I might make this my default browser instead of Opera :)

    3.1.5.1000 already had “New Quick Access. Supported customizing the background and Multi-page.”

      Rafael’s right!  You’ve got the wrong changelog for Mx 3.1.6.  Check out the link he provided.

        K, it’s fixed. Thanks! Whenever Maxthon alerts me that there is an update, the website itself always seems to be one update ahead of the auto updater. :[

    I really like Maxthon and as grg wrote there are great skins and mods which allows you more customization than the browser now has. But in the future I’m sure that Maxthon will have great built-in customization feature.
