Have You Found Your Favorite Skin?

By | September 18, 2007

Web BrowsersToday I was looking for some cool skins. It took me less than to find great looking skin for Firefox web browser, it’s “Blue Ice“.
However, I haven’t found any great looking skin for Opera and don’t know why. Am I too picky? Or just used default skin for a very long time? I’ve tried some of the Editor’s picks but… Most of them there very old ones or just didn’t fit “my style”. Would you like to share us your favorite skins for your favorite web browser?

Have been using “Phoenity New” for the last few years.
Created this skin myself using icons provided by Lim Chee Aun who sadly discontinued the Phoenity project after a hdd crash, but I’m still maintaining the Opera skin and already updated it for 9.5a: http://my.opera.com/community/customize/skins/info/?id=3391

have a look at “mypa” skin: don’t know if it’ll be your taste, but I think it’s one of the best for Opera, it’s here: http://my.opera.com/community/customize/skins/info/?id=4267

My favorite is my own :) It’s the standard skin with one minor change- I changed the contrast between the active and inactive tabs…. the active tab is darker and the inactive tabs are lighter:

I really like the native Windows look, so “Windows Native” is the best “Skin” I know. I just tweaked it a bit, to reduce toolbar height (and width).

EMIL_RSD doesn’t have a very good name, but I find it very epurated, with small icons, and it also doesn’t “clash” with other standard applications, been my favorite skin for years:
