    Haha @ ie

  2. Contesteer says:

Google Chrome is related to Hitler?

  3. DeclinedDoomed says:

I had to think about the Google Chrome joke a little, since using Chrome does not remind me of Hitler or Nazi Germany.

My best guess is that Hitler decided that it was his time to rule Germany, and Chrome’s decided that it’s Chrome’s time to rule the browser market.

  4. John says:

Google Chrome is referenced as Hitler because if you read the Chrome EULA, it states that any content you produce while using it is official property of Google. We’re talking about emails, blogs, etc. Scary stuff, but using a chick dressed up as Stalin would have made more sense.

  5. Dereck says:

    Nice pictures. I prefer Firefox.

  6. Kelson says:

John, Google rewrote that EULA immediately after the first public beta release. If you read the current EULA it contains this paragraph:

8.5 You agree that you are solely responsible for (and that Google has no responsibility to you or to any third party for) any Content that you create, transmit or display while using the Services and for the consequences of your actions (including any loss or damage which Google may suffer) by doing so.

    And this one:

9.4 Other than the limited license set forth in Section 11, Google acknowledges and agrees that it obtains no right, title or interest from you (or your licensors) under these Terms in or to any Content that you submit, post, transmit or display on, or through, the Services, including any intellectual property rights which subsist in that Content (whether those rights happen to be registered or not, and wherever in the world those rights may exist). Unless you have agreed otherwise in writing with Google, you agree that you are responsible for protecting and enforcing those rights and that Google has no obligation to do so on your behalf.

    and this one:

11.1 You retain copyright and any other rights you already hold in Content which you submit, post or display on or through, the Services.

So comparing it to Hitler is not only invoking Godwin’s Law right off the bat, but it’s outdated information. It would be like portraying Opera based on the outdated “fact” that you have to pay for it.

  7. Automan says:

I wonder how Charlie Chaplin was selected to represent the Google Chrome? :D

  8. rigorth says:

No wonder why I’m always turned on when I use Firefox, :p.

  9. user says:

    I choose Opera!

  10. Kelson,

Hitler was selected for the reason mentioned in DeclinedDoomed post. That’s why I included “it’s my time now”.

It shouldn’t be serious by the way, just funny :-)

  11. Duddedude says:

Google is marching towords internet dominance in many different areas. I’m trying to find alternative services..

When it comes to browsers it’s quite easy: Firefox & Opera!

  12. Nice comparison :)
“I can’t get enough of my awesomeness.” – best for me :D

  13. freebaby says:

Pay for Opera? What? It’s free: http://opera.com/download

  14. DeclinedDoomed says:

What Kelson is trying to get across is that criticizing Google Chrome for the EULA it USED to have is like criticizing Opera because you USED to have to pay for it.

  15. Erik says:

I choose Opera as well :-)

  16. cousin333 says:

Kelson: Google should never give out the first EULA anyway… Or do you think, it was a mistake?

  17. Kilgore Trout says:

I am just wondering why Google put that in their Eula in the first place. Everybody I know just steers clear of Chrome, even if they did change it to something less evil.
Make you wonder what kind of company it really is. Werent they the ones that are trying to listen in on pc’s through peoples microphones? Whats up with that?

  18. spaceface says:

Surely the Microsoft empire is more related to Nazis than Google.. I mean, it was proven a few weeks ago that Microsoft used cracked software to create specific Windows audio files. Also Bill Gates is a very harsh unforgiving business man. Compare this to Google who recently pumped a few *billion dollars* in a project to reduce our dependence on energies such as coal.

Google’s main objective is to index everything there is to index on Earth (and beyond) while Microsoft is here to make u use Windows even though there are plenty of other alternatives. The fact that most PC’s automatically come with Windows, internet explorer and such clearly indicates Microsoft’s soon-to-be-illegal strategy.

    Just my 2 cents.

  19. DeclinedDoomed says:

Google copied and pasted the EULA from their other products into Chrome. They acknowledged their mistake later, and updated the EULA.

  20. TheFreeOne says:

Internet explorer is a freak, LOL

  21. boss says:

I get it opera for smart people, firefox for people that are stupid and addicted to porn.

  22. snoopydo says:

Hitler and Google Chrome? Rofl, what a good combination.. :)

  23. benny says:

nice concept, but i cant understand why it should be fun to mention hitler there. This is totally without any reason.

  24. redjade says:

hmmmm I wonder what it would be like and how people would react if this blog post were pictures of men – or, ‘boys’?

  25. Fer says:

I prefer Opera girl and Opera browser aswell.

FF girl is hot but you can not present that bitch to your parents! hahahaha!

  26. Mutt says:

    Opera I choose you.

  27. Mia says:

Coool, FireFox rules …. my favorite

  28. will says:

Notice, the people criticizing the use of Hitler for Chrome use chrome…much like how all the people in Germany were when Hitler was doing all his evil shit. “nahhhh nothing’s wrong..we’re cool”

  29. Linda says:

    ice comparison :)
“I can’t get enough of my awesomeness.” – best for me :D

  30. tetra says:

Hey, good, very good, the safari girls comment is just awesome :D
And how Hitler goes to Google? Well, the phrase “world domination” says anything??

  31. 555 says:

Safari’s awesomeness is because Apple’s Mac OS X is one hell of a beautifully designed OS. Apple made Unix look appealing and their machines are darn sexy on the outside.

  32. ken says:

    dam she is suite

  33. John says:

I’m glad that my favorite FF is the best . Yeeeeii

      • TTT says:

Fun girls are way better than the bimbo bitches!
Also, I don’t see how you could call her a skank, the only difference from a normal dress is that she’s cosplaying as a firefighter…

  34. saahil says:

    You mean that skank!

  35. Yorgos says:

Is IE Britney Spears or Skinhead O’Connor? :)

    AND WHAT ABOUT BING?

  36. Rokalacs says:

I can’t choose of Opera and Firefox. This is why I use both :3.

  37. Andy says:

    Firefox is rubbish !!!

  38. Juca D says:

yo’all stupid, sry but the only browser yo’all should have is IE by the simple fact that is the only way u can directly make windows updates!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
