Firefox 3 Is Not Released (Yet)

June 17, 2008

3rd article today which says that Firefox 3 was released, though Mozilla’s page still got old version there…

That’s what happens when you provide exact time and bloggers set an auto post in order to be the first ones who says that…

“trying to set a world record, but forgetting to invest in decent servers = EPIC FAIL”, via ReddIt.

As for now: Opera released their browser too early and Firefox too late… What’s next?

Well, it only works through the http://getfirefox.com link. They are not offering it over FTP or anywhere else yet because those downloads will not count toward the Guiness World Record. Poster is a moron.

I suppose you didn’t notice that even getfirefox.com still serves up 2.0.0.14? Or where you distracted by the slightly larger nr 3 on the button?…

    Looks like getfirefox still says:

    Http/1.1 Service Unavailable

Had it and only used it once so far to fake a user agent. Made a download site believe i’m on my mobile and got the jar files i’ve been looking for,for ages.

Got something to say?
