Firefox 3.6 Beta 3 Now Available, Removes Windows 7 FeaturesMozilla yesterday has released a third beta of Firefox 3.6 web browser. Just as any new beta/rc build, it focuses on stability and performance improvements.

Fixing over 90 bugs, this version also removes Windows 7 tab previews. Furthermore, there won’t be any support for other popular features, such as: jump lists or IE like download progress bar in the taskbar.

    well, thats quite weird, that win7 features are gone, they’ve worked flawlesly and that progress bar in the icon is so intuitive, that you get used to it after 20 minutes.

      According to “nobody”, Firefox now lags behind and moves very, very slowly :D

    You can turn the Aero Peek tab preview back on in 3.6 Beta 3:

    browse to about:config
    change browser.taskbar.previews.enable to true

    I personally have experienced the ‘spinning circles’ issue in Beta 3. I don’t recall having it occur in Beta 2. Hopefully they fix it, because it’s a great feature.

      Great tweak. Do you happen to know how to enable the task bar preview for Firefox 3.6 beta 3 to show the green download progress bar. Like in Internet Explorer 8. Can you also do this from within the about:config?
