It’s still in development and as stated, currently only works in Windows 8, which very few people have, so what’s the point?
If you are a developer and want to attempt to improve on this Browser, fine!!

If Microsoft expects miracles out of this Browser that still uses ActiveX, then they are serioulsy mistaken!

Microsoft should remember Windows 7 that is released 2 years ago when developing a browser not the platform.

And how do you know that it wont show up for windows 7?

      Nothing is set in stone

      • Mikah says:

IE 10 will be available on Windows 7 when the stable arrives.

Just like they did with DX11, they ported it to Vista in the end (to some extent).

Also, didn’t IE10 PP2 work on Win7 before? With PP3 and PP4 it’s now Windows 8 exclusive? Another plan to get people to upgrade Windows again?

Microsoft forgot Windows XP when IE9 hit. If it considers the beauty of the web,  it should provide latest web technologies into its popular operating system. However, it avoided huge changes in IE until IE9. Microsoft use IE9 as a marketing tool to sell more Windows 7. I think IE10 is prepared for such scenario. It will be used to sell more Windows 8. Microsoft shouldn’t do that. This operation prevents using of the latest technologies of the web by major people.

          NO!

XP has been in life support for a long time now.

We need to CUT the cord.

          It has live LONG ENOUGH

You are absolutely right. However, time interval between IE6 and IE7 is 5 years and Microsoft did nothing during this period. XP stay lack of latest web technologies. Microsoft shouldn’t do this mistake again. Windows 7 is successful OS in terms of market sharing. In my opinion Microsoft should bring latest web technologies to common OSs continuously. That is needed to evolution of the Web.

I installed this into a virtual machine to see if they finally implemented the classList API, but it is still missing. Looks like i’ll be blocking IE 10 from my apps as well.

I also tried it on html5test.com (scoring 300) and noted the following additions:

Chrome will make video and say here we got 60FPS in WebGL and in IE10 we don’t see nothing, that should be fun.

They don’t care about WebGL and Chrome don’t care about Direct3D, problem solved.Only Opera and FF support both, Opera 12 soon that’s for sure.

Even Microsoft use Chrome according to the video. They should just admit defeat.
