Chrome 3 Performance: Windows XP vs. Windows 7
Written by Vygantas Lipskas on July 19, 2009
BetaNews has recently made an interesting discovery (Is Google optimizing Chrome 3 for Windows XP netbooks?). As you might guess from the title, they suspect that Google is optimizing Chrome 3 for Windows XP and not for Windows 7.
Using the most recent v3 release (3.0.193.1), they have published quite strange results. Turns out, XP has gained more than half a point over 3.0.192.1 while same build in Windows 7 RC received a performance loss.

Higher is better
For some more details and reasons behind that, you might want to check the original article.

Dont be an idiot ALL browsers work better in XP just look at the graphs.
In fact i think its a thing related to WebKit couse Safari 4 also works alot better in XP.
Opera works better on Win7, by a slight margin.
Well Ok Your Right.
I don’t know why they are putting so much emphasize on browser performance. I don’t sense a lot of difference between them.
Any way, I hate vista and I downgraded to xp. But I upgraded to Windows 7 and it’s great. Faster and more reliable. Good job microsoft
I think they emphasize so much because chrome OS and chrome browser are going to be in some netbooks by default and netbooks really need a fast OS and inet browser… Just my opinion
