June, 2012 Market Share: Firefox, Safari, Opera – Up; IE, Google Chrome – Down
Well, here is an interesting turn of events, a somewhat inverted market share data.
Instead of focusing on the user experience and eliminating the useless 2 year release cycle, IE team has decided to fire more ads instead. Certainly, even great ads have their limits and as shown above, Internet Explorer continues to lose its market share, down from 54.05% to 54.02% (0.03 point decrease).

Download Google Chrome 20 Final

Following quite a few Google Chrome related reports, the search giant has also announced the availability of the Google Chrome 20 web browser.
As this is Chrome after all, don’t expect a lot of new features. However, starting from the v20 builds, users will notice some minor UI improvements, such as: a wider new tab button and according to some reports, the whole user interface has been redone in HTML, CSS and JS.

Download Google Chrome 19 For Ipad And Iphone
Slow yet feature rich.
Well, what do you know, after the recent Google Chrome release for the Android devices, here comes another one but this time it’s for the iOS.
Available for both iPhone and iPad, the following (and first) release includes a much slower version of the WebKit rendering engine (Safari’s Nitro is 4 times faster in the JavaScript benchmarks), desktop UI and same old problems that every other browser faces: you can’t set it as a default web browser.

Google Chrome Has 310 Million Users, Doubles The Growth

As the Google I/O conference continues, the search giant has revealed some interesting stats regarding its Google Chrome web browser.
As it turns out, it now has:
- 310 million active users as they grew almost 100% over last year
- Google Chrome processes over 1 TB of data every day
- Users type 60 billion words daily
- … and lastly, thanks to its superior rendering engine, it saved a total of 13 years of time

Finally drops the beta tag, available to download right now.
During the Google’s I/O conference, the search giant has also published the Final version of the Google Chrome web browser for Android.
As expected the Beta to Final transition mostly focused on stability and performance improvements. However, Google also said that they have been working to improve the overall experience for the tablet users, which is always a welcome step forward.

Download Google Chrome Metro
After the recent announcement, guys at the Silicon Valley have released the very first build of the Google Chrome Metro web browser.
As you might guess, it was designed for the upcoming Windows 8 OS, which should shake up the tablet market.
Overall, Google Chrome looks bland, does not follow any Metro design guidelines and borrows its UI from the desktop version rather than the Firefox or IE Metro implementations.

May, 2012: Google’s Chrome Share Up; Everyone’s Else – Down
After reaching the 50% market share mark, Internet Explorer reverted some of its gains and is back to 49.87%, 0.13 point decrease.
Only few more points remain as Google Chrome slowly climbs towards the 20% mark, up from 17.41% to 18.05%, 0.64 point increase.

First Google Chrome Metro Screenshot
So innovative…
Well, there is not much to say here, really, other than the fact that Google has published the very first screenshot of its Google Chrome Metro web browser and boy does it look bland.
According to Google, they started working on a Metro browser since March and the very first build (coming soon) will support some of the Windows 8 features, such as: charms and snap view.
