That part of the article had me confused. I used to have Firefox on my system earlier, but i stopped using it for the past few versions, so i dont know how things are on that front.

It’s very easy to set the default search engine to Bing in Firefox (Firefox DOESN’T still treats Google as the default engine) but the users of this web browser are very stupid, then it’s easier to give them an extension that’s even more easy to install.

Ive read that article and it says you need an addon to use Bing? Even if you set your default search engine to Bing, Firefox still treats Google as the default engine?

And i hear people complaining about Opera’s search engines, where all you have to do is to right click on the search box and select “Create Search” and then set it as default.

Delusional and dishonest..great combination.

Their CEO claims that Maxthon is only trailing Opera .05% in marketshare according to net applications, and rants about it without giving the source.

gives a market share well above 2% for opera, and around 1.25% for maxthon. Quite a difference.

I guess thats a kind of thing you can get away with when running a small company, because nobody (investors? users?) ever checks the source.
