sid, I don't know what your problem is, since operamini.com/beta is very up and living, and this is the page people see who want to test the new beta.

i vist desktopteam only, but each time it was down, or had problems (and it was counted in days, not hours) it was in the same time as high-traffic event opera created - relase, contest, new forum software. coincidence? i dont think so. ther software/hardware can handle lots of install downloads, but i dont think their comunity engine that powers entire my.opera is suplied enough with computing power.

and yes, it happened before. more than once

Hm, I see this for the first time but maybe this because I don't visit my opera very often. Did this happened before first beta as well?

it is rather pathetic that EACH, and i mean it, EACH time it happens. couldnt they invest a bit more in hardware? PR impact of such software downtime is gigantic. and no, it isnt difficult. it is expensive, but it isnt difficult.

people will remeber these (rather stupid) monkeys, instead of how cutting edge opera mini is (it is, but who cares after seeing monkeys?)
