Moonlight 2.0 Preview Release now Available
Moonlight 2.0, a Linux alternative to Microsoft Silverlight has been released. Preview 1 can be downloaded from Go-Mono.com site for both, 32 and 64 bit systems. As for now, you can install it on Firefox only.
Moonlight 2.0 Alpha should be available somewhere in the next month, beta in summer and final release is set to be launched in September, 2009.
According to one of the developers, Moonlight 2.0 also includes some of the Silverlight 3.0 features, you can read more about it here.

Silverlight 3 Beta Overview
Guys from Neowin have published a great article which overviews Silverlight 3 Beta release released earlier today.

Silverlight program manager Tim Heur has posted an article on Google Chrome hack which would allow company’s media player to run on the Chrome web browser.
Moonlight 1.0 Released
Just a few days ago, Moonlight, the open source GNU/Linux and Unix framework that plays video and applications made on Silverlight has been released.
The way to install Moonlight is by a Firefox addon. It works on 32 and 64 bit operating systems. However, the following release is not compatible with Silverlight 2 yet.

I love Wednesdays, many great releases all the time. Few more today, Flash Player 10 is finally out of the beta and a new version of Silverlight is also released.
