Browsers Memory Battle
There is an article in ComputerWorld.com called “Firefox 3.0 wins memory battle, says tester“. Sam Allen was testing Firefox, Internet Explorer (IE), Flock, Opera and Safari web browsers to see who wins in the memory management. “Test” is quite funny. There are no graphs at all and basically nothing… I guess this is what quality article is all about.

Firefox 3 Final Released
As promised by Firefox team, its newest version was just released. There were a lot of pleasant changes since Firefox 2. Gecko 1.9 (web rendering platform on which Firefox 3 is based) received more than 14 000 updates, as a result: its performance as well as stability was improved. Most important, memory usage was reduced and a lot of memory leaks were fixed.

An Interview with Asa Dotzler (Mozilla)
If you are into Mozilla’s products and/or interested in web browsers then Asa Dotzler name should be well known for you. However, if you are not familiar with him, here’s a short quote from Wikipedia:
He has been an active member of the Mozilla community since 1998. Dotzler joined the Mozilla organization, and has played a key role in delivering products including the release of Mozilla 1.0, Mozilla Firefox and Mozilla Thunderbird e-mail and usenet client.

Firefox 3 Release Candidate 2 (RC2) Released
Earlier today Firefox 3 Release Candidate 2 (RC2) was released. The following build continues polishing Firefox, fixes some (but not all) of a well know issues which were reported with the RC1 release. By checking “Known Issues” article in “Firefox 3 (Release Candidate 2) Release Notes” page, you can see that they still got some work to do before making it “Final”.
