Mozilla Blocks Ubisoft’s Uplay Plugin
This is why we can’t have nice things.
Uplay, a browser plugin that appears on your PC once you install various Ubisoft games, has been discovered to have a serious security vulnerability, which allows malicious websites to take over your computer.
Now, according Mozilla’s blocked plug-Ins list, the open source organization took appropriate steps and has since blocked the mentioned crapware.
On a related note, Ubisoft has just updated its Uplay client to version 2.0.4, supposedly fixing the mentioned vulnerability.
Mozilla Aims To Improve Your Experience

Europe And USA To Investigate Mozilla’s Claims
Just slightly more than a week ago, Mozilla and Google have accused Microsoft of using unfair practices to block competitive browsers on their Windows 8 RT platform, now, it looks like things did not get unnoticed.

Mozilla Blames Microsoft, Says They Block Other Browsers

Firefox Blocks Old Java Plugins
Good news for Firefox users, thanks to the never ending Java vulnerability spree, Mozilla has decided to protect its users and from now on will block Java plugins with a Version 6 Update 30 and below as well as Version 7 Update 2 and below.
According to the official blog post, the February update for the Java Development Kit fixes a critical vulnerability, which prevents hackers from running exploit on user computer.
However, for those who want even more security, here is a simple tip: uninstall Java.

Firefox Mobile Will Support H.264
Surely Chrome will drop H.264. Let’s just wait.
Although Google has announced plans to phase out the support for H.264 on its Chrome web browser, those are still just plans.
Now, according to Mozilla’s CTO, Brendan Eich, the open source organization has also no plans for such drastic change and will continue supporting H.264 on its mobile web browser.

Windows 8 Version Of Firefox Coming
Promises seamless Metro integration.
As you might know, Windows 8 will expand Microsoft’s Metro UI, which is currently utilized by Windows Phone, Xbox Dashboard and other software giant products.
Trying to jump ahead everyone but Internet Explorer, which will also have a version specific for the Metro user interface, Mozilla has revealed its plans to create a “Firefox on Metro” for the upcoming Windows 8 OS.
