Spartan For Phones UI Is Not Final
If you have been one of those people who complained about the Spartan for Phones UI changes compared to Internet Explorer Mobile then good news, during the Q&A session, Microsoft engineers have confirmed that this is indeed not a final revision.
So what exactly is wrong with the UI? Well, mostly it’s one thing: the URL bar is on top, making it pretty much impossible to use a larger phone with one hand, a pretty serious flaw if you ask us.
While it’s not exactly a news that should be cheered upon, at least it gives some hope, which is better than nothing.

Microsoft Adopts Google’s Bounty Strategy

It looks like Microsoft has finally decided to borrow one of the Google’s ideas: rewards for finding serious web browser bugs.
While the rewards program is not exactly new in the software giant campus, those who wanted to do some serious debugging for the Project Spartan will finally be rewarded the right way: up to $15,000 for a security vulnerability.
The bad news? The clock is ticking and this is not exactly a campaign for a lifetime. Instead, the Project Spartan Bug Bounty will end on June 22, 2015.

Google Chrome Will Have A Much Better Scrolling Performance
Thanks to Microsoft.
Even though Microsoft and Google are always fighting these weird battles (at least when it comes to the Internet drama, from Scroogled campaigns to Windows Phone users blocking), it looks like the search giant has seen the light and will be implementing some of the Microsoft technologies.
The technology we’re talking about is Pointer Events API, which is already used in the Internet Explorer, Opera and Firefox.

Déjà Vu: Next Windows 10 Build To Include Spartan
I swear we wrote this before.
If you’ve been following Project Spartan news then it should be a pretty common knowledge by now that Microsoft promised to include its new web browser in the “next” Windows 10 build (which was released yesterday). Unfortunately, it did not happen.
Now, it looks like the software giant is ready to make the very same promise again and hopefully deliver this time. While there is no ETA for the next build yet, yesterday’s Windows 10 Preview does include some changes in the new rendering engine, which Project Spartan will utilize.

Microsoft Announces RemoteIE
And it’s pretty useless.
Recently, Microsoft has announced a new and free tool that aims to help web developers to test their code on Internet Explorer, especially those running Mac OS X, iOS or Android.
While it might sound cool on the first sight, there is one problem: it allows you to test the latest version of Internet Explorer on the Windows 10 Technical Preview, which means that pretty much no one is using this browser right now and it’s useless since developers need access to older builds like IE8 and IE9.
