Internet Explorer 8 (IE8) and Private Browsing
Rumors are all over the net that the upcoming release of Microsoft’s next generation web browser IE will feature a private browsing feature (Mozilla Firefox decided to drop this one and haven’t or won’t include in Firefox 3.0/3.1).
So what is this all about?
Private browsing enables user to surf the web without leaving any “logs “about its activity. There will be no caching, cookies, history or neither the form data.
Why would you need this feature anyway? As most people notice, it’s for adult site users. Of course, this is not the only use. Some of the IE users requested this feature for ages. Maybe Microsoft is finally listening to its users?
Everyone Loves IE – Sitemeter Kills Thousands of Sites for IE Users
The behavior began few days ago whene Sitemeter updated their scripts. Unfortunately, they forgot about a bug of the Internet Explorer (really old one) that has been causing a “Operation aborted” error.
If your web page had a Sitemeter counter, Internet Explorer users eventually see an “Operation aborted” error message. Once they click OK, the whole page disappears and is replaced by a blank page.
Whose fault is this? Both of course. However, this is not a new and/or unknown bug; they just didn’t test it on Internet Explorer = bad idead.

Browsers Memory Battle
There is an article in ComputerWorld.com called “Firefox 3.0 wins memory battle, says tester“. Sam Allen was testing Firefox, Internet Explorer (IE), Flock, Opera and Safari web browsers to see who wins in the memory management. “Test” is quite funny. There are no graphs at all and basically nothing… I guess this is what quality article is all about.

Firefox 3 vs. Internet Explorer 7 (IE7) vs. Safari 3.1

Internet Explorer 8 (IE8) Beta 2
It looks like Internet Explorer 8 (IE8) Beta 2 will be released within a couple of months, in the third quarter to be exact. As for now, Microsoft asks web site owners to make sure that their pages will be displayed correctly on IE 8. Firefox and Safari gains, Internet Explorer Loses, Opera Remains the Same (March 08)
Its a new month again and we already have March browsers market share results. So let’s begin. Shall we?
Yet another bad month for Microsoft Internet Explorer, this time its market share decreased by 0.08%, from 74.88% to 74.80%.
