As it says: “This is because Microsoft plans to announce the final details of the IE8 RTM schedule and available language versions by March 5, 2009”

Internet Explorer 8 Update as High Priority
The upcoming release of Internet Explorer 8 will be available via Automatic Updates. According to Microsoft, the following update will be marked as high priority for Windows XP, Windows Server 2003 and important for Windows Vista, Windows Server 2009.
Alternatively, Microsoft is offering IE8 Blocker Toolkit which will allow administrators to disable delivery of Internet Explorer 8.
How will itl work?
Automatic update will notify you when IE8 is ready to install in the right side of taskbar. As simple as that.
Microsoft Delays Internet Explorer 8 (Again)
First it was November, then December, then March 2009 and now it looks like the final IE8 version will be probably released in the 2nd quarter of 2009.
They are going to release one more update in the 1st quarter of the year 2009 which should be followed by a long awaited, Internet Explorer 8 Final.
Although by checking Microsoft history records you can even expect it to be delayed once again.
Well, at least users won’t whine about hundreds of IE 8 bugs, as in the time period like this, most of them will be fixed.

Internet Explorer 8 Is the Safest Web Browser
Internet Explorer 8 — Microsoft’s latest release, currently at the Beta 2 stage — was declared to be the safest (aka more secure than Firefox 3.1 Beta and Chrome Beta) but the least popular browser, according to a browser security survey.
On Wednesday, Utest, a social-networking and software testing company, announced the results of its Bug Battle browser contest. The event included participation from 1,330 security pros, hobbyists and tech enthusiasts, who found an alarming 672 bugs in the world’s top three Web browsers. Continue Reading
Mace to Your Face. MySpace, Facebook – Not Ready for IE8
Ironically, the long awaited IE8 which is supposed to support web standards won‘t display correctly pages like MySpace, Facebook, CNN, BBC and more as they were designed for older IE versions. And as you know, older IE versions simply ignored web standards.
Dear Microsoft, congratulations. Once again, you broke the web.

Internet Explorer 8 Delayed
No more Internet Explorer 8 Final for you this year. Date was changed. Instead of finishing it this year (as promised) IE team is going to release Internet Explorer 8 RC in the 1st quarter of 2009 and some time after, IE8 Final.
Knowing Microsoft it is not a big surprise, indeed. They are always changing release dates.

Can Internet Explorer 8 (IE8) Win This Battle?
While Internet Explorer 7 had only one good feature (are you curious now?), the upcoming Internet Explorer 8 (IE8) is slowly becoming a real web browser. But is it enough?
Standards Support
Web developers doomed IE7. Hours of wasted time, checking… Yes, it still breaks a web. Let’s do more coding… It took a while for Microsoft to realize that it’s a good thing for any web browser to support web standards. Internet Explorer 8 is their 1st correct step in building friendly relationships with web developers. Hope it will not break the web (again). Continue Reading
