Good news for all you 2D haters, the upcoming LG Optimus 3D cell phone will save you from sorrow as it includes the world’s first augmented reality 3D browser called Wikitude. Although not many details are known, it’s not a long wait since LG plans to launch the beast this summer.

Thankfully, it will not require any glasses.

The Web is gradually becoming a better foundation for applications with splashy, sophisticated interfaces, but 3D graphics on the Web remain primitive. Now, though, Mozilla, the group behind the Firefox browser, and Khronos, the consortium that oversees the widely used OpenGL graphics interface technology, are trying to jointly create a standard for accelerated 3D graphics on the Web.”

AT&T Pogo Web Browser

AT&T is currently working on a Mozilla Firefox based, 3D web browser called “Pogo”. At this moment, Pogo is open for private beta testers only. So why exactly you should be interested in this web browser, when there are already dozens of them? Pogo allows you not only to surf the web, use visual tabbed browsing, but also organize your music, video and pictures.

SpaceTime – 3D Web Browsing

Now this is something interesting. Have you ever heard about SpaceTime? No? You should check their web page then and watch the video. Firstly I thought that it’s just yet another useless “feature”, however, after watching SpaceTime demo video, I’ve changed my mind. It is not as useless as I thought. Check this screenshot for example:

Just make a search and you will instantly see all the auction items thumbnails; and that’s not all for sure, as it says in their website: “Search Google, YouTube, RSS, eBay, Amazon, Yahoo!, Flickr and Images all in one 3D space.”
