New Firefox Add-Ons Page DesignSome time ago I’ve reviewed the upcoming Mozilla Firefox add-ons web page design. As you’ve read, there were many things which I didn’t like. Well, seems that they’ve released the final version of it. Made few improvements and site looks much better now. But where’s the “Search” button? I can’t find it.

When loaded in Opera the search button appears for a moment, but then disappears when the page is loaded.

Search buttons are old technology. Just hit enter. :)
But I will admit, it does take a little time to be comfortable with the new navigation.

I suppose they left it out, most people use the ‘enter’ or return key to submit their query. It is much faster to use the keyboard only and leaving the button out saves space.

Although they could reduce a size of text fields a bit and add small “GO” button :-)

hang on the source code says (and I don’t know whether this will show properly, so i will put two versions, the second being where i replace the ‘greater than’ and ‘less than’ signs with brackets)

    (input type=”submit” id=”my-submit” class=”hidden” value=”Search” /)
