Mozilla Lies About Downloads?

How’s that possible? Check this page.

It says

They still got Firefox 2 but not 3 in their home page… How’s that possible then?

    Firefox 3 was already available for download using the mirror URL (as all the mirrors were already ready). However Mozilla had technical problems getting the front page ready in their clustered environment, thus the counts were coming from mirror URL (download.mozilla.org).

    Even to make things fair, people at Mozilla have blogged that the counting will start after the real site is live (and thus will be reset).

    I’m just guessing, but I think that for some people it did show the new page, and for others not.

    + you can easily recreate the correct link and download it without passing via that 2.0 page.
