Internet Explorer, Opera Mini Gains. Firefox and Safari Loses (April 08)

2008 April Browsers Market Share ResultsAfter some strange results, for example: huge Internet Explorer gains and other web browsers drops in the market share, HitsLink made some changes. Yes, it’s time for the “fixed” 2008, April market share report.

After Internet Explorer 8 Beta 1 release, IE increased its market share by 0.03% (from 74.80% to 74.83%) for a first time since October, 2007.

Despite continuous Firefox Europe growth, its worldwide market share decreased by 0.07%, from 17.83% to 17.76%

Safari lost some market share this time as well. From 5.82% to 5.81% (0.01% decrease).

It’s been a 3rd month already, Opera market share remains the same: 0.69%

Although Opera market share remains the same, the mobile web browser Opera Mini managed to increase its market share by 0.01%. From 0.04% to 0.05%. By the way, Opera Mini 4.1 was just released.

    Just goes to show you that Microsoft could still save itself if the factors of convenience and utility are in there. To be fair, IE8 is doing great!
