Internet Explorer 8 Delayed

By | November 20, 2008

No more Internet Explorer 8 Final for you this year. Date was changed. Instead of finishing it this year (as promised) IE team is going to release Internet Explorer 8 RC in the 1st quarter of 2009 and some time after, IE8 Final.

Knowing Microsoft it is not a big surprise, indeed. They are always changing release dates.

I really wonder what kind of team they have. I know developing a web browser is not easy, but why do they take so much time and accomplish so little?

  2. Maybe their IE engine code is so complicated and messed up that they need time to figure out what exactly it does :)

That’s at least part of it. But I think a bigger part of the problem is bureaucracy and big company politics.
