IE9: 2.3 Million Downloads in 24 HoursInternet Explorer 9 has been just recently released and the first numbers are in.

According to IE Blog, the latest version of Microsoft’s web browser has been downloaded more than 2.3 million times in the first 24 hours! That’s 27 downloads every second.

Numbers are huge when compared to IE9 Beta (1 million) or IE9 RC (500,000) downloads in the same time period.

Congratulations.

Thanks, RamaSubbu SK.

Not too much then as Firefox 3 got over 8 million in a day when it came out in 2008.

  2. Hurry! Microsoft is offering what everybody else had for at least 10 years.

Meh, Opera has 6.7m downloads in 24hrs.

Also, many of IE9 downloads are because it’s bundled with Windows. I have downloaded it 3 times to update my Windows PCs but I won’t be using it on a day to day basis, because Opera is still so much better than IE.
