Well, they advertising their product. Any other corporate would do the same thing. They want market share and thats how they will get it. They heavily advertising the chrome youtube aswell.

Well in London there’s quite a few billboards advertising Chrome. That’s probably the first time a non-commercial (in the sense you don’t pay for it) piece of software gets advertised like that.

Google search is THE most used search engine in the world. It’s only a matter of time before Microsoft or Apple sues them because of exploiting market position, like Opera did with Microsoft.

Wait… Microsoft and Apple also exploit market postion… Then Mozilla? Nah, they don’t care about market share and want to have Google by their side.

Then Opera maybe. Oh, the irony! It would be brilliant, nonetheless.

And for the record, I think what Google is doing is fraud and dishonest. I mean, I don’t care that much that I’d do anything about it, but I think it’s dishonest. They are taking advantage, just like Microsoft.

Then again, it’s good that they steal IE users, because, after all, most Firefox users know about chrome, and as soon as chrome is flooded with users like Firefox is right now, their development rate will drop like a bomb! Well, it’s not like it’s too high, since they still don’t have a decent browser anyway :P

Nice thought, Tiago Sa – I hadn’t seen it from that angle, but you are absolutely right. I wonder if the EU comission goons will go after Google. It seems like they especially have it for Microsoft, for some reason.
