Meh, Windows 8, Windows Phone, Internet Explorer, Xbox, Zune. All products for idiots that don’t know any better.

    • Conroy says:

i still dont like IE, but your comment is plain stupid. right now IE is really good, it only lacks proper adblocking and the fact that it cant be installed on XP, if this was possible, id start using it right away.

      • atomic1fire says:

XP is so old I think the security updates will be over with by april 2014 or something. Anyone who actually wants IE updates should have upgraded to Windows 7 or 8 by now.

Not to mention IE9 and 10 have tracking protection lists that can double as adblock filters if you know what you are doing. Otherwise expecting microsoft to support almost every old version of windows will just mean that it will take far longer for anything to get done.

They already are taking their sweet time releasing IE10 for windows 7.

        • Conroy says:

i regularly switch between 7, 8 and xp, so i dont really care which one am i using. i used to be really tech savvy before, but now im so lazy i dont even care if i have viruses or whatever, im just curious about browsers and apps, and especially about Opera Webkit

        • Rafael says:

The point is that the other browser vendors still support XP just fine… And updating from XP to 7 or 8 isn’t for free, you know?
Microsoft has an end-of-support date pre-defined and still they didn’t release IE 10 for at least Vista.

    • You complete dumb dont know anything other than some idiotic rant about MS you read somewhere, you didnt even had a PC when MS was real bad in the late 90s, you probable were not more than 6.

  2. Przemysław Lib says:

    Look like fake.

MS release prewies first and those do not have UI…

    • Well, it’s not official release ;) Win8China has a pretty good track record tbh

      • Przemysław Lib says:

MS is on (almost) 2y cadence for their IE releases. Its too early for IE11…

Even if it was internal build with new engines added to IE10 shell, its too early.

Unless MS want to switch to yearly cadence. (Which would be very good for their Windows Phone strategy, beeing stuck on not so modern IE on mobile for 1-2y is horrible :P)

        • It doesnt make sense from a 3 year release cycle viewpoint, but it does from a 1 year release cycle, which also makes it uninteresting and irrelevant.

          • Przemysław Lib says:

            For who?

            For home/hobby/webmaster ? Hell no!

But for IT manager/corporate blue worker who use web browser as means of running intranet web-app? Hell yes!

MS with IE serve some important market here.

Also that is BIGGEST differentiation point for IE in corporate marketplace. Any competent IT admin, can plug Chrome/FF into update/maintainance tools (by himself or by using services offered by 3rd party). But LONG stability/maintainability of web browser? Chrome and FF are not even likely to pretend to compete here. MS have upper hand here. Discarding would be stupid…
… since they can not show off any other real advantage :P

  3. Mehran says:

Aren’t they going to releasing IE on Webkit!? ROTF

  4. Rafael says:

Oh, it looks exactly the same thing! Thanks, very important…
