Flock 2.0 Beta – Soon
Some news about the upcoming Flock 2.0 Beta release. It looks like new version of the social web browser will be released within the coming weeks.
What’s new in it? As Flock is Mozilla Firefox based, 2.0 will have all the latest Firefox 3 features, bug fixes (which includes memory leaks), etc.
As for now, you may try Flock 1.2.1.
Internet Explorer Loses. Firefox, Safari and Opera Gains (May 08)
Yet again we have new web browsers market share data report.
Internet Explorer continues losing its market share. This time it lost more than 1%, from 74.83% to 73.75% (1.08% decrease).
With the Firefox 3 RC release, Firefox managed to increase its market share by 0.65%, from 17.76% to 18.41%. Continue Reading
Yahoo! BrowserPlus
Back in April, we’ve reported about the upcoming Yahoo! project – BrowserPlus. While it’s still in Beta, Yahoo finally decided to release it for a public use (sneak peek). BrowserPlus is a technology for web browsers that allows developers to create rich web applications with desktop capabilities. BlackBerry Browser Update Coming Soon (OS 4.6)
The upcoming BlackBerry 9000 (OS 4.6) will be released soon. Along with the various improvements, OS 4.6 also introduces updated BlackBerry web browser. What’s new in it? Now you will be able to download attachments (Internet or Intranet web sites) using your browser. Also, they’ve managed to add support for inline video streaming (full screen supported as well).
Skyfire – Free Mobile Web Browser
Here’s a new app for you to try: Skyfire. It’s a free mobile web browser (currently works on Windows Mobile 5 and 6 only, Symbian support coming soon). As they’ve said in the demo video: “Skyfire is the only product that brings you the pc experience into your mobile phone”. And in case you thought about Opera Mobile… No, they haven’t included it on that video.
