H.264 Is Now Free, Sort Of
MPEG-LA, the group behind H.264 codec licensing declared Internet Broadcast AVC free from royalties; as long as web site that provides video streaming service is free as well. Or put in other words: YouTube won’t have to pay for it
Originally, LLC was planning to charge companies that rely on H.264, starting from 2016.
Thanks to competition, such as: Google’s WebM video format, this is no longer the case, as long as end users are not paying for service.

Enable Google Search Suggestions in Opera
As you might know, Opera 10.60 brings support for search suggestions. However, it currently works for Bing and Wikipedia only.

During the press event in San Francisco, Google has announced the availability of Chrome to Phone extension.
What does it do?
Basically, it allows you to send currently selected text, links, maps, etc. from your Chrome web browser to any Android 2.2 devices.

Google SSL Search is Broken in Safari 5
It looks like there are some issues with Google SSL Search and/or Safari 5 web browser.
As reported by some users, when entering a search query via https link, it will redirect you to a standard Google.com web page.

Stable Google Chrome Releases Every 6 Weeks
Just recently Google has introduced their new Chrome release cycle. According to it, new stable browser versions will now be available every 6 weeks. Therefore, major version numbers will be changing much faster.
There are three reasons for such change, company said:
Shorten the release cycle and still get great features in front of users when they are ready
Make the schedule more predictable and easier to scope
Reduce the pressure on engineering to “make” a release
