Malware Protection: IE9 Smashes Other Web Browsers
Google responds.
Once again, NSS Labs, an independent security research organization, has tested top 5 five web browsers to find out, how good they are at blocking the socially engineered malware.
Has anything changed? In terms of ranking, not rally. However, Google Chrome saw a 340% or 10.2 percentage points improvement when compared to the previous report, which is definably a good news for all its users.

Adobe Promotes Google Chrome
Now here is something interesting I noticed today.
When downloading the latest stable version of the Adobe Flash Player, a checkbox appeared, offering me to install Google Chrome as well.
However, if you hit F5 several times, it will suggest you a different kind of software, making us wonder, how much such promotion cost for the Google (if any?).

New Chromium UI In Sight
The most recent build of Chromium, an open source web browser, has received a new UI designed specifically for tablets.
Although it’s still in an experimental stage and there is no confirmation whether we will see such UI integrated into the future versions of Google Chrome or Chrome OS, it provides an interesting glimpse of the upcoming changes.
If you are interesting in playing with the new user interface, be sure to adjust the GYP_DEFINES option accordingly: GYP_DEFINES=”touchui=1

Browser Toolbar: Google Drops Firefox 5 Support
Remember the good old Google’s Firefox Toolbar? Turns out, the search giant has decided that today’s web browsers are way too advanced and such toolbar is no longer necessary.
As a result, Google will not be supporting Firefox 5 or any future versions of the web browser; and in case you miss the functionality, it prefers you to use the extensions instead.
However, if Firefox and Google’s Toolbar is a must have feature set for you, a solution would be to downgrade to Firefox 4, which is still supported by the company.
