Internet Explorer continues to lose market share, this time it felt by 0.63%, from 72.15% to 71.52%

Google Chrome Receives Heavy Criticism in GermanyGermany’s oldest and perhaps biggest prime time news Tagesschau announced the following under the headline “Warning against internet browser”*:

The Federal Office for Information Security warned internet users of the new browser Chrome. The application by the company Google should not be used for surfing the internet, as a spokesperson for the office told the Berliner Zeitung. What was tested? Apparently, they have monitored Google Chrome behavior with network protocol analyzer tool and here are the results:

Google Chrome Download VulnerabilityUS-CERT is aware of a vulnerability that affects the Google Chrome web browser. This vulnerability is due to a default configuration that allows files to be downloaded without prompting the user. In addition, downloaded files can be opened with a single click, which could allow a user to inadvertently open a malicious file.

US-CERT encourages users to enable the “Ask where to save each file before downloading” option within the “Minor Tweaks” tab in the browser preferences. Continue Reading
