I am really happy to announce that FavBrowser.com is officially one year old now. Happy birthday!
FavBrowser.com was started on June 13th, 2007. How? It’s a short story…. Well, I was unable to sleep one night so started to do what I always do at that time: brainstorm and write various ideas in my cell phone drafts folder. One of those ideas was a blog about web browsers. There wasn’t any yet which covered all web browsers only. I’m proud about that.
It was a long and sometimes hard blogging road. I wouldn’t have done that without you. Thank you for reading this blog, for your feedback, for backlinks, for mails, for comments… Thank you for everything! Continue Reading
Just few notes…
I’ve done bit more CSS optimizations.
Also, from now on, posts will be cached. This feature will increase loading speed as well. If you’ve noticed any strange behaviors or bugs, feel free to let me know about them.
Oh, and we can call that “FavBrowser v2.0.3” :-)
I think we could call that “performance improvements” in some way :-)
CSS file was optimized and its size decreased almost by a half. Also, I’ve removed “Tags” from the web page; this would increase loading speed as well.
By the way, we’ve just hit 100 categories mark.
Firstly, I had connection problems last few days so wasn’t been able to post any news. Sorry.
As for now, I’d just like to let you know that I won’t be online for a few days or so. Going for a mini “vacation” (if we can call that a vacation). Continue Reading
Not really a web browsers thing, but if you are using WordPress 2.3.x and haven’t yet upgraded to WordPress 2.3.3, you should do that now.
WordPress 2.3.3 is an urgent security release. A flaw was found in our XML-RPC implementation such that a specially crafted request would allow any valid user to edit posts of any other user on that blog.
